Good morning to you,

It's my first (second: I introduce myself now :) ) time here, I'm glad to found this place.

Let me introduce myself by posting some pictures taken in Japan.

Shot in Dynamic B&W: please be lenient.

Jack

In order:

1) Good night

2) The lion is sleeping

3) Keep her waiting

4) Two souls joined together so far away

5) Japan

By the way,

I don't know what to do when people ask me "B&W? Why... It's sad..."

They may or may not have no clue on what you really want to say: either way, "no opinion" face just like Homer should bridge the gap.

How do you manage it?

Have a nice day,

Jack

Jack,

Welcome to the forum. You have a fine series of shots with great quality and interest. As far as b&w work, you will find a lot of us do a lot and in many cases prefer it. Don't question yourself about taking monochrome pictures for you are the artist. Just keep on taking and posting so we can enjoy them too.

Jack,

welcome to the forum. It is a delightful and interesting series. No 1, 4 & 5 are specially good in B&W and would not work in color I suppose. So, as Paul already said, the artist has to decide about his own way of expression. We are looking forward to many interesting impressions from Japan.
