Advertisement Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Hi CaptZoom, Take a look here Summicron collapsible 50mm f2 or Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f1.5 LTM ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Tegila Posted September 9, 2013 Share #22 Â Posted September 9, 2013 It means my iPhone is freaking out in me. Didn't intend to post either of those. Sorry all.
Xexets Posted September 9, 2013 Author Share #23 Â Posted September 9, 2013 The Elmar is also a great idea, I hadn't considered it. Plus it's collapsible thus replicating the advantage of my original summicron. I like though the possibility of going down to 1.5 especially because I am using it on a film camera, thus most of the time I need the aperture edge in tricky lighting situations. As for the CV 50mm review, it sounds like it refers to the newest edition, which is a remake of the first, I am looking at (actually got one at this point) the 1999 LTM edition, which is far cheaper than the new one (and supposedly performs equally or even better). Â Cheers!
Xexets Posted September 16, 2013 Author Share #24  Posted September 16, 2013 Hello! In the end I got myself a voigtlander 50mm f1.5 LTM and I am really pleased with the results. This is the first roll I've done (with a simple Fuji Superia 200), scanned with Epson 370, for those interested:  Leica Roll 8 - a set on Flickr  Now I have a velvia 50 in the works, which was shot both with the collapsible Summicron and with the new Voigtlander, I am curious to see the difference, and will post back!  Cheers.
