Other Lens to Leica M

My uncle "left" me his Leica M2 camera body. I have been a user of Pentax for a very long time now. I do my own darkroom work.

Back to the point. I am looking for a good adapter for my K mount lenses to the Leica Body. I understand they will not couple to the rangefinder but that is little difference to me. I do a lot of landscapes and shooting at infinity is normal. I know there are some very expensive adapters but if I could afford them, I could afford to get some Leica Lenses, which I cannot.

I would prefer to try and make the purchase from somewhere a store/dealer in the USA, as I have had some bad results dealing with the "far east".

Any help for a girl on a very fixed income?

Google is your friend Amazon.com: Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter, Pentax K/PK Lens to Leica M-Series Camera, fits Leica M-Monochrome, M8.2, M9, M9-P, M10 and Ricoh GXR mount A12: Camera & Photo

However, not all Leica lenses cost a fortune. You can mount any Leica Thread Mount lens with an adaptor too. You can buy a 5cm Elmar lens for not much money, for example. Then there's the options from Voigtlander, as well as other Russian and Japanese LTM lenses. A good Jupiter 8 (Russian 50mm) can be had for £30 (about $50)

I have quite a few Novoflex products and the distributor in the US is HP Marketing: HP Marketing distributors for Ansmann, Berlebach, Braun, BRNO, Gepe, Giottos, Golla, Heliopan, Kaiser, Liunhof, Novoflex, Rimowa, Rodenstock, Stratos, Tetenal, Vue-all, and Wista

You can ask to speak to Bob Salomon at HP and find out if they still import the Novoflex K mount and who might have some in stock. It is still listed on Novoflex's international website: Novoflex - Adapter Finder

Otherwise I'd do what James advises. Check out Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapters (normally they are a much less expensive option than Novoflex ) or think about maybe a used M or LTM lens as an option.
