stickan1 Posted August 23, 2013 Share #1  Posted August 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is a follow up of an image that I made two weeks ago called "Growing upward", published here 12/8. This tendril has changed it's mind since then and is now going downwards and has formed a beautiful figure on the wall where it is growing.  Welcome, dear visitor! Iduna Posted August 24, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted August 24, 2013 Stig, Â yes I remember very well your post. This is a new version and as lovely as the previous one. To see something growing and make progress is well captured.
platypus Posted August 25, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted August 25, 2013 Lovely textures! This looks very much like a Blackberry tendril, if that is the case you can expect to see it grow ever upwards, very robustly, as it seeks the sun....lots more photo opportunities. stickan1 Posted August 25, 2013 Author Share #6  Posted August 25, 2013 Yes it is blackberry and the first berries are ripe now. This wall is a good place for photography. I just have to show you some more of it, so I walked out and made two images despite the strong sunshine! The other buildings are in better shape!  Welcome, dear visitor! platypus Posted August 26, 2013 Share #7 Â Posted August 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) That is a lovely old textured wall and a perfect place for a blackberry to thrive, you may have to prune it occasionally as it will tend to become huge and cover your wall entirely. It is interesting that you are obviously going to enjoy eating the blackberry fruit. In Australia the blackberry bush is now classified as a noxious weed and sprayed on sight with extremely toxic chemicals, so we can no longer assume that the berries are safe to eat.
