Advertisement Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Hi stuny, Take a look here Fast woman, fast car - fast woman, slow car. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
likalar Posted August 22, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 22, 2013 Very good pov. That's Christy Turlington at 44. Still looks fast. The car motion works great here. Larry
sblitz Posted August 22, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 22, 2013 not sure what you are doing on houston st at that hour. i am presuming, perhaps falsely that you are not heading home but starting your day of the shots, i really like the first one better. something about the car makes it more than just another photo of an impossibly perfect woman in an underwear ad. EddieB Posted August 22, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 22, 2013 Stuart Lovely shot and very well seen - the contrast between the glamorous model and the garbage is great. The motion of the car adds something, then again, the white line also helps to draw the eye through the frame. I'd be happy with either!
pauledell Posted August 22, 2013 Share #5 Posted August 22, 2013 Stuart, Great composition, perspective, lovely clouds and sharpness, but what are the black spots at the top middle of each picture? Paul
Bill W Posted August 22, 2013 Share #6 Posted August 22, 2013 Very nice Stuart, I like all the color added with the paper machines.
newnew Posted August 23, 2013 Share #7 Posted August 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Stuart, Very nice. For me no 2 makes it with the straight white line and all the compositional elements. Does she get dressed after 6:30 ? Ali R.
stuny Posted August 23, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted August 23, 2013 Georg, Michael, Fred, Steve, Eddie & Bill - thank you. Michael - Thank you. I always thought Christy Turlington was just another supermodel, with all that implied in my biased mind. Then I heard her interviewed a multiple occasions, and heard of her charitable works. I'm now a fan of hers. Paul - Thank you. I hadn't noticed it. I'll have to look at other shots from yesterday. Steve - On the way too work. NN - Thank you. I'll have to go back and look. likalar Posted August 23, 2013 Share #10 Posted August 23, 2013 Georg, Michael, Fred, Steve, Eddie & Bill - thank you. I always thought Christy Turlington was just another supermodel, with all that implied in my biased mind. Then I heard her interviewed a multiple occasions, and heard of her charitable works. I'm now a fan of hers." There are more like that. Remember Kathy Ireland, SI swimsuit cover 1989? Of course you do. ;-) She too has been very successful in business (KIWW, $2 billion+) and reportedly very generous with the proceeds. Natalia Vodianova is super generous, too, supporting several organizations that do good work. Many good-hearted people from that industry. stuny Posted August 27, 2013 Author Share #17 Posted August 27, 2013 Mike - Thank you. I must return to thinking more about black and white - After all that's where my photographic roots are, processing all photos at home in a wet darkroom. Good idea. I think it works well. Iduna Posted August 28, 2013 Share #18 Posted August 28, 2013 Stuart, good work, thanks for sharing the discussion. I think the last B&W is working best for me. The reason is, that color is not important here but the meaning of fast posh car, the garbage and the luxurious world finished soon.
