Most of the Yashinons I've owned have been pretty good lenses....sharp, good color correction, and reasonable contrast. Didn't see if it was an older screw mount or newer bayonet (C/Y mount for Yashica & Contax). But I haven't owned the one you pictured. Personally, unless you already have an adapter I'd sell it, unless you want to build a collection of Yashica or Contax lenses.

Actually it might be a rather nice lens of vintage character. There was not much wrong with the Yashinons in their day.

It's really in pristine condition. Looks like it more or less haven't been used. The price tag is still on it. And the focus and aperture has a bit of Leica-feel to it - To my surprise! :)

This one is a M42. As to what I have read about this lens it was only made with M42 screw mount, so I suppose its a bit sketchy getting it to fit on my MM. - Or am I out sailing on this one?

We had a whole batch of Yashica Mats at the school of art & design, with Yashinons, very variable, some good, some not so. But that was a 4 element Tessar type, almost certainly sharing nothing in common with the OPs lens other than the name
