pfhrased Posted August 13, 2013 Share #21  Posted August 13, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks everyone for the posts which have been so helpful. I have just acquired a used 50mm Summicron and hopefully will add a 35mm Voightlander or Zeiss to this. Again thanks to everyone who offered advice. Great to know that this forum is here to help!  Tom  Hope the 50 is to your taste! I'd recommend trying out the 35 1.2 voigtländer - it's heftier than the 35 1.4 leica, but has better bokeh and is still sharp with beautiful rendering. .5m minimum focal length which you can take full advantage of with live view, too. Good combo of low light, walkaround, and landscape lens.
Advertisement Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Hi pfhrased, Take a look here Leica M - which lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
skuromis Posted August 13, 2013 Share #22 Â Posted August 13, 2013 My example produces a red edge on the M at all lens settings. It is indeed an excellent lens - on the Monochrom. Â Ohhh, don't buy the M then Sure there is no other surprise hidden in your cam? I like the Zeiss 2.8/35 on M9, though I need to expose a bit longer then the cam suggests.
