I agree with preceding comments.

I would have taken a second shot (moment permitting) by moving the camera one step to the right in an attempt to increase/improve the girls profile.

Ah, if only it were a perfect world! ;)

I would be happy to call your shot mine had I taken it.

Erl,

Thanks... and, I will try to test your suggestion.

Every photo is a step on the ladder (better if we go up ! ;)). This was THAT moment and I will try to find another one and this will be another picture.

Best

This was really well seen and captured.

The way the backlit portion is placed against the dark area of the building and the shadow portion of the girl (with no backlighting) is placed against the light paved area just gives the perfect overall outline.

The figure is also perfectly placed in the frame - and the dog and it's shadow) just adds the final touch

I would have been very pleased with this if it was mine!

Thanks for sharing!

Very well done. Making a 'graphic' image is far more difficult than a simple record shot because it needs to be more than 'woman walking dog', and this one is more. I know what erl means about moving a bit, if it were me I'd have been clicking away looking for banker shots even if I felt the first was the decisive moment. But the photograph is a great idea anyway, and people doing their own thing on the street rarely pose themselves in exactly the right place.:)
