i dont like the asph look with the monochrom

are the summarits going to give me that same asph look with the monochrom?

if so I will still with 50mm elmar and 35mm cron v4.

thanks!

the summarits are very sharp but the rendering itself is different from asph lenses, somehow. the bokeh is generally speaking very pleasing from the summarits and they do not lack sharpness in any way

Marc is correct in his observations about the Summarits. I've had the 50 and 75 and they both are very sharp. The bokeh of the 50 really surprised me - very similar to the ASPH. I've sold the 50 because I do have an ASPH, but the 75 is here to stay with my kit. I can assure you no one could tell the difference between the expensive ASPH's and the Summarits at normal viewing distance.

I have the 50 2.8 Elmar and really like it for size, weight focussing speed, seems very good technically and has character, a nice lens. I preferred it slightly to the Summicron at f2.8 and onwards. The Summicron is a little more 'polished' in how it renders but the Elmar-M has a little more character on the OOF rendering. Not better but interesting enough to hold it's own IMO.
