After an excellent lunch...

 

 

 

we set off down an interesting path...

 

 

 

being careful to step off with the left foot...

 

 

 

pause at the tea house...

 

 

 

observe fish but no chips...

 

 

 

count the number of fir cones..

 

 

 

sit for a while and admire the designated view...

 

 

 

check the number of storeys of the pagoda...

 

 

 

imagine we are actually in Japan...

 

 

 

and pass an interesting window on our way out...

 

 

taken with a Leica M9P and 35mm Summicron (non-aspheric), processed using Capture One v.7 pro and top and tailed with Adobe CS4

David,

 

thank you very much for this guided tour. This is an excellent series: Each picture has its own atmopsheric touch and is expressing the essence of the philosophy of this type of garden. The path of pebblestones is the symbol of flowing water. Each of your frames mirrors a meditation in its own. Great. These should be on a wall as a welcome for coming home. The first one is a good start.
