Iduna Posted July 24, 2013 Share #1  Posted July 24, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) these are the first experiments with daylight and a flash being bounced against a handheld reflector. The heat of the early evening was blazing in the countryside and we had to suffer many attacks from bloodsucking insects. My Canon 5D MKII was mounted with my Elmarit R 180 mm, which was recently under service in Solm. and since then it is as good as new in its optical quality. I am working at a new setup consisting of a flashlight which is being bounced against a handheld reflector as supportive light of day light, specially some sort of frontlight.  Come along, no insect will bite you. enjoy the walk   Welcome, dear visitor! Orient XI Posted July 25, 2013 Share #6 Â Posted July 25, 2013 The photos of the umbellifera are the better as the technique described successfully isolates them from the background. This separation is enhanced when the added bonus of rim-lighting occurs. Many thanks for bringing this technique to forum members' attention.
