Painting-like drawing. Interesting. I should use this lens more often.

k.-H.,

lovely, the soft tonig is nice and is supporting the romantic meaning we always associate with doves. The focus on they eye is just right and not too dominating. If there is some potential in the RAW I would like to suggest to reduce the luminance of the bright spot under the tail, but it is fine also as it is now.

Stuart, Iduna, Karl,

Thanks for the great feedback. Here you go.

I initially didn't expect the bird house color to work out this well. So I tried to avoid it.

But cleaning up a few of the dirt spots seems to do the trick. :)

K.-H.

thanks for the new version, this is very good now and the comsposition as a whole is balanced and toning now perfect. Thanks for your effort, it was worthwhile.

Iduna,

Many thanks. Looks fine to me as well now.

In the first version I liked the not very contrasty drawing of the lens and the colors.

I recognized the compositional problem and the too bright spots.

But, hey, the forum is partially here so that one can benefit from feedback.

Of course, the bird house also has a roof. One can see the shadow.

But including that wouldn't make the image any better, IMHO.

A birder friend informs me it's an Eurasian collar dove.

The Mourning dove is native and much smaller.
