plewislambert Posted June 17, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted June 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica 21mm f3.4 Super Angulon: Â Anybody tried this on an M9? I observe that the rear glass would be close to the M9 sensor. Do the edges of the frame show the same problems as arise using a Voigtlander 21mm? Thanks for your help. Advertisement Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Hi plewislambert, Take a look here Edge Vignetting 21mm on M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted June 17, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted June 17, 2013 It has been discussed regularly. The lens will show considerable vignetting and will not measure exposure correctly. It has an enthusiastic (albeit small) group of fans that like the rendering and will go the extra step in exposing and postprocessing in order to be able to use it. In that sense it can be called a specialist lens.
pgk Posted June 17, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted June 17, 2013 I have one. On the M9 its tricky to use although it produces good files if you want to shoot black and white. Exposure is by guestimate/histogram/adjust method;). Red edges are pronounced and not entirely correctable in my experience in colour work. But its still a lovely lens.....
