Advertisement Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Hi fotohuis, Take a look here Which 21mm on my M7. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Gallinazorey Posted July 4, 2013 Share #22  Posted July 4, 2013 My filter sizes are 39mm and 46mm. And I can get an extra discount on the Zeiss products.  Have you thought of the 21mm f4 Super Angulon made by Schneider for Leica in the late 50´s? Its the ONLY Leica 39mm lens and a swell performer. Its also tiny and very well desingned  LEICA 21mm f/4 SUPER-ANGULON (1958-1963)  I have one MINT selling on Ebay (with view finder and hood) but we could talk...  gr
plewislambert Posted July 8, 2013 Share #23  Posted July 8, 2013 "On digital, if I wanted a really small lens, there is only one choice: the 21/4CV. It's OK, but is not as good as the 21/1.8CV and tends to have greater sample variability as well. "  I used the 15mm and 21mm CV lenses + adapters on my M4-P without problems (apart from flare sometimes) but both lenses gave shaded edges on an M9 that were not perfectly corrected with Cornerfix, although it helped. I was left with digital noise where the vignetted edges had been corrected. I sold them both and later bought a 17mm Tokina slr lens and Leica adapter. It's soft wide open but sharp at f5.6. It cost with the adapter about £100 so as an experiment its only drawback is the size of the lens. The little CV lenses are probably sharper but the Tokina images look good on my 24inch Dell screen. Possibly a bigger, higher quality screen might be more demanding.  I took sharp building pictures on an M9 with a 20mm Nikkor f2.8 and adapter. Nothing wrong with this arrangement but I stopped using it after I bought the above Tokina. Philip
