Time to add a few here. Been juggling the X-Vario, the T, an R6, and Leicaflex SL for the past 6 weeks in Europe.

This train blitzed past fast enough to cause my heart to flutter. It was the unexpected blast from his horn that made me jump, hence the "unsharpness".

Gary, the scene is sharp and the blur lends credence to the implied speed of the train. Most impressive!

What was the shutter speed?

David,

1/15th of a second, set on purpose to allow the train to blur. The plan was going great until the Italian train driver decided to have a bit of sport with the Kiwi tourist, and gave his very loud horn a blast as he went past. I nearly pooed myself, jumped with fright.

It's not sharp, not as I wanted anyway, the background should be sharp.

23.2mm setting too, according to LR.
