JHAG Posted June 11, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted June 11, 2013 Lovely cat portrait and very handsome cat. Karl, Meet Hannibal Horatio Henry du Sous-Bois, son of Mr. Enjoy des Petits Fours and Mrs. Groseille du Sous-Bois I love those pedigreed cats names, half-preposterous, half-comical, half-gentry, half-pure surrealistic poetry à la Prévert. OK, that's four half, but it's needed to make kids, isn't it ? PS : Cat apart, I must say the APO 180 has got really long claws.

JHAG Posted June 13, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted June 13, 2013 Horatio appears to be quite the royal British subject with his aloof and dignified demeanor. Paul Except when chasing butterflies. From afar, looks like he's jabbing the ether.
JHAG Posted January 17, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted January 17, 2014 Wonderful Horatio has just been killed today in our street, in front of our house, by a criminal driver, who hit and ran. Since 2 years, we pleaded with police and city council for devices slowing traffic in our street. No avail. Next time it will be a child. I'm strongly for the American way : jail for criminal drivers. Regarding irresponsible politicians, I propose eternal immunity.

Karl G Posted January 17, 2014 Share #11 Posted January 17, 2014 This is the worst possible ending for the story of a fine feline. Condolences on your loss.
allamande Posted January 17, 2014 Share #12 Posted January 17, 2014 That is so terribly sad news. I am sorry for your loss. In my neighborhood, it's the coyotes that usually get them. Ece
JHAG Posted January 17, 2014 Author Share #13 Posted January 17, 2014 So sorry for your loss and I agree with you about those rogue drivers. Paul Thank you, Paul You know what : it would have been my child, the criminal would have done the same. He perfectly knew what's he's done : there was blood all over the sidewalk. I feel like murder. Every single day, those bastards are putting your life in peril. Empty brains, blathering over their cellphone. Reason why I drive a Land Rover. At least you're high up over the pack of thugs and a bit more protected. Tonight we'll have to announce this to our two boys.
JHAG Posted January 17, 2014 Author Share #14 Posted January 17, 2014 That is so terribly sad news. I am sorry for your loss. In my neighborhood, it's the coyotes that usually get them. Ece I think I wouldn't be that mad if coyotes had got him. That would be the laws of nature. Here, this is murder, mere hit and run. I've been vocal since 2 years with the mayor about car madness. And this is supposed to be a posh neighborhood. Well-heeled bourgeois killers…
