pauledell Posted June 6, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 6, 2013 K-H, A wonderful set. I like the second the most with its erect stance. Paul
Karl G Posted June 6, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 6, 2013 (edited) K-H, very nice pictures. Your long glass on the Nex in your hands is getting some really nice close looks at numerous birds. Your pictures share these looks with us and are always nice to see. Edited June 6, 2013 by Karl G

But, unfortunately an OOF tree smack in the middle. I wanted to finally get a shot of those skittish Quails. So I didn't reposition the tripod. Hopefully, there will be another opportunity. platypus Posted June 7, 2013 Share #7 Posted June 7, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) What wonderful shots of quail! We have them here, (though a different variety) but I have never been able to photograph them as they are so easily spooked and take off so quickly. You really are a bird whisperer. Dee. k-hawinkler Posted June 8, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted June 8, 2013 Dee, Thank you for your feedback. Very much appreciated. Sometimes I get lucky! I also learned whether it's wildlife or the weather, an opportunity can disappear in the next second. So, being ready and immediately reacting to it is essential. Also, I find modern Leica APO R lenses give better image quality. Nevertheless, these older Leitz lenses have their own charm and challenges. And I find them fun to use. I am looking forward to get my M240, wondering how it handles new and old lenses.
Hank Taylor Posted June 8, 2013 Share #9 Posted June 8, 2013 Love the quail shots, and your setup for taking. I too love the old R lenses and my favorite has been my 350 mm 4.8. Hank
michali Posted June 9, 2013 Share #10 Posted June 9, 2013 Wow! Quite a set up. Great shots, however I like the second one best.
