pajamies Posted July 5, 2013 Share #21 Â Posted July 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Got my long awaited APO Summicron 50/2 Asph today. Tenth test photo showed a foggy center ! Â The hood was extended, there was no direct sunlight, just a bright cloud cover visible between the trees. Â What is the remedy ? Send the lens back to Solms ?? pajamies Posted July 6, 2013 Share #22 Â Posted July 6, 2013 Got my long awaited APO Summicron 50/2 ASPH yesterday. Â I have found, to my grand disappointment, that the lens has a strong propensity for flare, even from cloudy skies, the flare fogging up the photo. Â Diglloyd.com has researched this, and suggests that cause is inadequate blackening of internal lens surfaces. Â I guess the lens should go back to Solms for added blackening ?
