pauledell Posted June 3, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 3, 2013 A great shot with the vignetting adding to the picture. I wonder if this was the same model of aircraft that Adolf Hitler flew around in. Paul
Guest Posted June 3, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 3, 2013 (edited) Thanks Paul, have a look at the identifier "HB-HOS" of the "Auntie Ju", which flew just above my balcony: Three aircraft JU-AIR with the identifiers HB-HOP, HB-HOS and HB-HOT were transferred in 1939 from Dessau (Germany) to Duebendorf (Switzerland), survived Second World War unscathed in neutral Switzerland and were almost unchanged used until the 1980s by Swiss Military. The Ju 52 JU-AIR 9-cylinder radial engines are converted in 1997 to run on unleaded petrol. Karl G Posted June 3, 2013 Share #5 Posted June 3, 2013 Nice picture and great plane. I built a model of one as a kid. Interesting too that IWC which used to supply watches to the Luftwaffe is a sponsor.
