jaapv Posted June 3, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 3, 2013 (edited) Pixel Fixer | Hot pixel removal utility Or make a correction layer in Photoshop and run a batch. Or maybe the flat field correction tool in Capture One will work, it is worth a try. Plenty of options, I'm sure I missed a few. tobey bilek Posted June 3, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 3, 2013 Write an action in photoshop. Make a one pixel wide selection of the offending line, then run content aware fill. When you make the selection. hold down the shift key to keep the line straight and vertical. The tricky part is identifying the exact location of the dead pixel. Do not go to !00% as then the line is two pixels wide. Try doing a photo of white paper and color select red. Every pixel on the screen has a X Y location which you can use to reproduce the proper selection/fill. To keep the selection one pixel wide, put 1 in the width at the top. Try making a green line on a higher layer and moving it until it hides the red one. The arrow key will move it one pixel at a time. once the action is written, use a droplet to apply it all photos in a batch. I have done it and it works. A bit tedious if you do not know all the tricks. Profesional means you have back up equipment.
