One evening back in 1986, down by the Seine in Paris, we watched an advertizing shot being made. Quite the big production number:

Paris je t'aime 1986

canon, kodak CL200

Great behind-the-scene shot! "Never let a fragrance come between you and your love." Ha, ha, ha. How was that fragrance bottle actually lit? And next, the marriage of Christian Dior's Poison Eau de Parfum with the deadly cobra? You must have been channeling Harrison Ford decades before he blurted, "Snakes! I hate snakes!"

I really like this one. The smiles combined with the dominant yellow from the field and hair is really working well. Looks like a lovely family!

Thank you sincerely Aryel, I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. I guess we saw them working as we drove along - we were touring Europe in a VW Kombi (ah those were the days!) - and stopped and asked if we could take a picture. Of course there was a language barrier so the smiles and gestures of appreciation carried the day. Such lovely people, in fact that applied to all those we met along the way.

Powerful and beautiful! How did you remove the remjet?

Thank you. 20 gr washing soda on 500 ml (107 F), pour water into tank, wait 5 min, put cover and start shake vigorously. Empty tank and pour tap water of same temperature. Repeat till you get more or less clean water when you empty tank.

Develop as usual.

When you put your film to dry remove remains of remjet with fingers or cleaning microfiber cloth soaken into water

It's really very simple process and film is very cheap, especially if you buy it in bulk.

400ft - 393$

Thanks! I think that might be the only way. Kodak used to make a pre-bath that removed it, but no longer made. I also think Bellini makes one, though it doesn't seem available in the US, at least.

Sorry for the photo dump, but I'm so excited by what my HB 500 c/m and the 120 f/4 macro can do (handheld). Portra 400 in Unicolor. Just my garden: lots of dahlias (that have burst open after the terrible draught); mums with lantana in the background; and rose campion with petunias in the background. I think they really show off the special quality of Zeiss glass--color and character, sharp without being clinical.
