I like this, Xicara de Cafe. Your pictures stick out by their "saudade".... or is it just me ?

An airbnb find ?      I certainly can relate to the fascination of the ruin... well spotted.

Ah, James, the baltic sea. I've been there too for  3 weeks in July...a bit more to the east.

# life's a beach: agreed. But my beach looks different. Not so orderly to say the least...

Summertime #6

After the hike.

( I don't know why it comes to my mind right now: many years ago, I saw a double feature of Russ Meyer movies. Can't quote the titles here. To overcome the apparent void in the sensory experience,  the audience got a kind of cardboard with dots together with the tickets: A, B, C.... When these letters came up on the screen, you had to rub the letter and thus got the smell .... ☺️

Thanks Kl@us! I am prone to melancholy so you may be right :-). On the day of this shot, I was having saudades for Australia, where I'm from. It was the 7th of September, Brazil's independence day, and thousands of far-right and anti-democratic protesters had been bussed in to Brasilia from around the country to demand the closure of congress and the supreme federal tribunal. Presumably they want to be a little less independent. The nice smoky ambience was actually from their bonfires, lit off the far-right (snap) in the photo.

Hello Klaus,

it is the Sugar Loaf seen from the Guanabara Bay.

The open sea is behind and Copabana is past the Sugar Loaf to the right.

Reverse angle:

Ilford Delta 100 - Agfa Clack 6x9

From yet another angle at the entrance of the Guanabara Bay.

TriX - Xpan + 45 mm

Best

Jean-Marc

Not an Airbnb but part of a collection of ten shops selling a variety of "vintage" items. Some really good, a lot of junk and a few real oddities. It's been a fixture on the Oregon coast for decades but development is moving in.

I shan't push my luck by posting a digital picture here, but this link will take you to one such. We'll be moving house in 2-3 months if all goes well, you see, and my film freezer badly needed defrosting, and it has been neglected for a while so it was time to thaw out all the ice, take stock of the films and put them all back in some kind of order.  In the door are rolls of bulk film, and in ziplock bags there are film loaders and home-rolled cassettes. The list I'm left with goes like this:

Powdered ChemicalsDiafine Kits x6, Acufine Kits x5, Arifix Powder x2, Kodak Pro Fixer x13

100ft Bulk Rolls:  Legacy Pro 100 (Acros 100) x3, Legacy Pro 400 (Neopan 400) x1, Arista 400 (Tri-X) x10, FP4+ x1, HP5+ x3, XP2 Super x6, Pan F+ x2, Rollei Retro 80S x2,

                               Kentmere 100 x2, Kentmere 400 x2

35mm cassettes:  PlusX 36x123, TriX 36x151, TMax100 36x9, TMax400 36x20, PanF+ 20x10, XP2 Super 36x13/24x1/12x6 (cassettes with weird numbers of frames are home rolled),

                                 Legacy Pro400 20x18, Legacy Pro100 24x6, Delta 3200 36x8, Portra 160 36x15, Portra 400 36x16, Ultramax 400 24x8, Superia 400 24x56, Fujicolor C200 36x18,

                                 Agfa Vista 400 36x9, Ektar 100 36x2

120 roll film:  TriX 400 x9, TMax100 x15, Adox CH25 ART x17, PanF+ x40, Delta 3200 x25, XP2 Super x100, HP5+ x71, FP4+ x50, Portra 400 x12, Ektar 100 x34

                         FujiColor Pro 400H x3

4x5 sheet film:  HP5+ 25 x4, FP4+ 25 x4

10x8 sheet film was given away with the Chamonix, and the liquid chemistry in another fridge I haven't looked at yet. I'd better slow up on using 35mm XP2 all the time, and I really must attack the imbalance of an excess of medium format film. Perhaps I'd better stick to Tri-X for 35mm and HP5, and XP2 for 120. Time to dust off the Hassie 500 bodies!

That is a staggering inventory, forgive me for not having read all the details!

Looks like you're going to have to dust off more than just the Hassies. Happy shooting!

Very well done Marc! Quintessentially elegant, bravo. Are you shooting at the moment in Singapore or is this an older photo?

Interesting to see Portra in Cinestill's chess. The sky gets a very cool otherworldly colour somehow.

I'm sure Blofeld is lurking around the corner somewhere.
