I would be grateful for some advice on an Ilford Delta 400 film I had developed for me. Some banding in the images, which I wonder are caused by me - light leak or something in the developing process.

All frames seems to have banding to different degrees. Here is an example or two. The bottom image is one from the end of the roll, where the issue becomes severe. Any thoughts gratefully received. I have not had this issue on other films with my M cameras and this particular film was shot a good while back, so it could be user error on my part rather than camera fault.

I’d say it wasn’t properly fixed in the Developement. I’ve seen/ done that before.

It should be OK now.

@jaapv thanks for your swift help.

@verwackelt @pop @Kl@usW. thank you all for pointing out the error of my ways. I think I screwed the post up when I attempted to edit the attached image.

In the interest of keeping things on topic, here is another shot from the same roll of FP4

The good news is, you can put it back in the fixer. If that clears up the problem, you will know it is time to change your fixer............or, extend your fix times.

Best,

Wayne

Somehow the film managed to hide in a photo bag... like a fiver found in the folds of the sofa. Must be from January.

MP bp, 3,8/24; Delta 400; Rodinal

A fortuitous film fiver then, lovely shot. We never see snow.
