really like this one. Perfect timing and framing, alluring grain, wonderfully not overblown sky. Just great.

Alex, long time, great to see you here! :) Lovely shot, such smoooooth tones.  There's nothing like mist on film.

Way back in the 1980s I happened to catch an exhibition of Irving Penn's monumental platinum prints at Irving Penn Retrospective, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. These exquisite prints left an indelible impression on me - they were just breathtaking, both in their scale, and their beauty - in fact in every way. A couple of years later I was studying photography back in Melbourne, looking for a portfolio subject for assessment, and his Detritus series came to mind, so I (er, gulp) plagiarized:

Nikon F801, 105mm macro, Agfapan 25

What a perfectly exposed slide. Such a feast for the eyes to see. And that Velvia definition is simply unparalleled.

Leica M6 with Zeiss 35mm Distagon 1.4 - Fomapan 100 (Pushed to 400)

Love this lens with film. The contrast and sharpness on a nice roll of film is just lovely. On digital bodies tend to be too much sharp for my taste...

I really love the palette on this one. And I had to laugh (though it may seem inappropriate, I realise) because Dutch coffee is imho the worst coffee on the planet.

yes morning sunshine over the mountain hits this tiny street only at a certain time.

its unfortunate that all the cafes and small eating places that closed down and are still closing down everyday and simply not making it into the news...and the Govt is not giving them any aid or support
