Certainly a nation of "cooked people", as it was for us as youngsters here. Not now though, melanoma has reared it's ugly head.

I do think the sun has become more intense in later times though. And from our limited times in Europe, the sun is "kinder" there, than compared to NZ.

True. I have friends who do not even use sunscreen. I can't do that, I'm pale and get sunburned so I might loose my citizenship.

To me it looks like Ferrania P30 and Silvermax tend to enhance tan if the subject has already a dark skin. That does not happen with pale skin subjects, they stay pale. I guess it's related to their sensitivity to particular colors. Honestly I'm not an expert.

Very good idea Gary. Just plonk the camera there for an hour or two and then shoot a separate exposure for the monument. Make sure to include yourself with a headlamp looking towards the stars :D

New expressway, and alongside it there is a "monument" of which I have yet to find out the significance. It begs for a night astro star rising milky way type shoot too.

Going to something slightly more mundane and descriptive now. This is from our skiing vacation in Sälen, Sweden, in February.

very nice shot!

Not sure what NPL is, since you're using Delta. Do you mean NLP (Neg Lab Pro)? Or is it something else? thanks.

Thank you Ken, I really like mistakes like this. In fact I like all my bad exposures so much that I've made a special, never-ending project about them:
