It is true. The lowly brick has received far less accolades than it deserves. The perfect heirloom.....just as useful to you as it would have been to your ancestors over 2000 years ago. Very nice. Thanks.

Best,

That blur of the horizon, even with the lack of color, per se, reminds me of the sensation Rothko produced with his blurred edges of colors that seem to vibrate when his large paintings are viewed from about eight feet to minimize peripheral vision.

so does the red line in  "penumbra": If you steady the gaze and look at the center of the line it vibrates at the ends and  I even thought it was bending a little bit downwards  to assimilate to the horizon. Checked this even with my ruler...

Really intriguing.

You were seeing green flash before anyone knew it was green flash!

Here's a new diptych from my reality rolodex. What's reality? What's rolodex? Really? Trying to get past the A's for "Abstract Expressionism." The aardwolf is still hunting? I am thinking of lighting by Vittorio Storaro.

Venice Beach 2016

Leica, 50mm, Yellow filter, Silvermax 100

One of my favorite Wright takes at the right moment. Classic, like a Durer woodcut, a calculation of perspective. Stark asymmetry, so Venice Beach, bright and clean light. The twin palms, echoing the chain lines of the rings, the arms, the legs of the playtime gymnast. Surely, one of Venice Beach's muscle men lifted her to the rings. Rings is not a women's event, unless it's just for fun, and this shot sure captures the fun.

C´mon, mnutzer, please say ten times: I don't care about Neopan, I am waiting desperately for the re-opening of the Biergarten... 😂

Phil, haven't seen it before and I can't turn  my eyes  away.... Rog rightly mentions the  Dürer-like precision of a wood-cut. For me, it breathes the masterly reduction of a chinese or japanese ink drawing---no line could be omitted  without damage, no line could be added... wow.

Kl@usW. ,
perhaps you caught and convicted me - beer is mandatory at meetings of the Leica Group Munich

, but at home I should prefer whiskey until I see instead of 88 keys 176, 264, 352 or some more😀...

OK this is beyond outrageous! You have violated the inviolate - the sanctity, veracity, integrity and rightness of the simple rectangle - on multiple occasions now! A repeat offender no less! What is the world coming to? OK, sure, this is absolutely beautiful and stunning in its boldness and playfulness but... but that's no excuse! Where's the hanging judge when you need one?

Sorry, but this (not its creator) should be hung. In an important gallery.
