I like the dark and moody atmosphere. The silver-rich original ORWO films were good at that. The black bird silhouette against that brooding sky are perhaps a good representation of our times - or at least they could feature in a dark horror film...

Same as previously, though here one wonders about that building, what's lurking there?

Stills of a yet to be shot Hitchcock movie?

I know the view, though I would imagine that these days the amount of ships has multiplied? The colours are nice and curious, though you seem to have some dark yellow stripes left and right? And, I have to say this, your horizon is tilted.

Yes, Christoph, the scan is tilted. The yellow banding didn’t show up in the image, but appeared when uploaded to Flickr.

We've seen reflections, and we've seen reflections, but reflecting on yours deserves enthusiastic applause! Artfully composed with a controlled palette, the counterpoint of a kind of still life with the POV of an onlooker, your work in this genre invites more than the five-second museum glance and deserves very large gallery printing.

that's a mesmerizing contrast between the sheen of the stainless steel and the red line.. can't look at it too long... 😳

I had the same thing happen with a couple of rolls of PanF some years ago. At first I thought it was a fixer issue, but tested with other films with the same fixer no prob’s.

Example:

Incidentally (won’t work with expired film), I have found Ilford to be a wonderful company to deal with. I had a couple of rolls of 120 Delta 100 where the backing paper was not matched to the film (odd cuts / loose pieces). I sent some pictures to Ilford, and they sent a bunch of replacement Delta 100, plus a sprinkling of other Ilford 135 and 120 film down to me in Kuala Lumpur.

Thank you Eoin, if it should occur with fresh film, I will think of it. Until then, I´ll change my film policy.. and have a look at the exp date before loading. The frustration of the lost shots is not really worth the penny saved...

the picture emanates a melancholic beauty--- hard to describe why, but its kind of perfect. The balance between the barn and the trees on one side, the lillies on the other side... the rain puddle on the way...

Marc, in my experience the sellers chagrin is part of a  photographers life. If I start thinking of all the cameras I sold ---for reasons I even can't recollect, I get the mood....  So look ahead ! Imagine what wonderful cameras  the future holds  for you !! 😁  I´m told there are even people re-marrying ! Not only once, but twice..

Excellent shot Gary. That was truly a spectacular day which I hope we can do again this year, though the odds look slim at the moment :(

This is so cool Wayne. I really like the lollies but look at that puddle. Easy to overlook but once you've seen it it's there very prominently. Excellent composition and then that graaaaaain. Would Cary Grant soon be coming over the hilltop, fashionable as always, chased by a crop-duster?

Another serendipitous coincidence of wonderful shadow play. Same but so different, the strict prison-like shadow bars in J-M's photo versus the organic swirling to the point of moving shadowy shapes in Marc's, but both drawing us in to a central point, an eye and literally so in J-M's. Simply Great.
