Marc, I like the picture and the  casual attitude..the picture bears all the hallmarks of your consistently good portraits: framing, attitude of the model, the narrow dof ...

Thanks a lot Klaus for your kind words. In fact this scene was her idea and I am very happy that we realised it.

Very nice Marc, I particularly like her expression.

Me too, fits perfect to the style.

Speaking of Landrovers 👀, here’s a 2A (I used to have one of these, too) opportunistically shot with SWC from the overnight train heading South from Bangkok to Sungai Golok on the Malaysia Border...

It was on a SWC with Ektar 100. Same camera and same film on same journey:

Eoin! Great to see you back here at the analogue epicentre of the planet!

Really interesting patterns J-M. Is it the wind that causes them?

Great to see you back Eoin !

Philip, the patterns are created by the waves coming in and out successively .

Best, JM

It’s good to see you are still here, rolling out inspirational works, Philip.

I can thank COVID-19’s movement restrictions for guiding me back here🙂

Hi Eoin, I'm really enjoying your return and the wonderful photos you have kindly shared with us. And as an owner of a couple of Canon F1Ns I am happy to see that camera was put to such good use back in the day!

Thinking about your SWC shots, though, and especially the train one above made me go waaaaaay back in time when I first even heard of an SWC. I saw an exhibition of an Australian named Max Pam who carted one around India and other parts of Asia back in the day - the 1970s and 1980s I believe. His work is worth having a look at - like you, he was able to use that particular tool exceptionally well and it may give a somewhat historic setting to some of your work - much of which would have been done around the same time I gather: https://www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/collection/works/?artist_id=pam-max

What a companion it's been then! And you still have that 17mm lens! It must feel pretty special to still have that kit, and still use it. Such a well-designed, beautifully balanced camera. And those colours are still so fresh and vibrant! To think of those schoolchildren in your pictures - now women and men with families of their own. And in some of those pictures you can almost feel the heat, the humidity, smell the smells of Asia and the incessant noise.

Your Dad was a very wise man to have done as he did.
