We had some really lovely rare low fog last week and so I skipped out with my panorama camera to capitalize...

That’s right, my panorama camera ... which after a 5 frame vertical stitch becomes a 4x5 (or thereabouts) 😍

Wishing everyone an enjoyable weekend!

Amazing work! And it is so well balanced with the seagulls giving a resting point for the eyes while taking in the whole scene. Although it is a still frame, there is a lot of motion in it. Well done!

Some former inhabitants on the coral reef located south of the equator which eventually, due to continental drift, became the island of Gotland.

Very, very nice. From Glacier Point or somewhere near there?

Yes, my (limited) records do suggest Glacier Point.

As I recall, we left Yosemite At Camp Curry en route to Death Valley and made a detour up to there before heading over to Death Valley via the 120 and Mono Lake

cheers.

This is interesting Philip, although I'm not quite sure what it is. Is it a lapidified cross-section of bone?

Beautiful, Adam, and wouldn't Doc Henry love that mist/fog! I must admit the purist in me cringes a little at the idea of stitching, but the results are certainly eye-popping, as here.

Are they the same seagull on the right?

Thanks, Phil.  There were actually (and fortuitously) two seagulls flying together at that moment.  As for the purist viewpoint, I really don't see stitching as unpure.  I suppose, however, that  it could be viewed on the same level of thinking as cropping; stitching is like the inverse of cropping. 🙂

Impressive, solid, and the waves on the left bottom nicely balanced with the seagulls on the right.

Thanks, Christoph :)

Really beautiful, Pritam.  And the toning works really great.

I really love this.  The human element enveloped in all that space really is something special.
