New Leica M10 Monochrom ... nah ... joking ...

I saw some sample photos shoot with the new M. As always no high contrast examples have been presented. I was so disappointed with my MII some years ago, no one single image on a regular sunny day was acceptable and this camera was my first Leica at all. No comparison to the film 😄

Great shot Klaus. You're a lucky man to end up there on a seminar.

A fountain pen shop in Rome, taken on the 31st of December, 2019. I hadn't noticed the sign on the desk until I saw the photo. Leica IIIf, Summicron 5cm 1:2, Ilford HP5+ 400, Kodak D-76 1:1 11"45' 21º.

You just have to love the X1's ability to pull every last bit from a neg, wow, just wow. I think the photo doesn't need to be cropped, looks great as it is.

Yes, I'm fully aware of that. Actually I had to go there for several summers....  And every time I was there I checked if there were any events at the Swedish Cultural Institute "Axel Munte". In 2002 these beautiful swedish ladies performed on the open air stage of the villa in Anacapri -"Italian nights" or so.... It was a wonderful evening... only to be topped  by the next evening  when I was swimming in the blue grotto ( Don't do this ! Possibly dangerous and expensive ! ) and the four ladies  swam into the grotto and began to sing.. I think that was a once in a life time experience. The light, the acoustics, and the giggling of the ladies after their spontaneous quartet singing. Unfortunately I couldn't clap my hands, I had to swim...
