Once you have made it over the glacier and want to get to  the hut next valley...astonishingly, there is no escalator over the hill.. 😯

Photography with film is-as a basic rule-pure bliss. As long as there are some frames left. This shot actually was the last frame...and I had to ask my brother to just stop, I need to load a new roll... He was not amused. And me neither, not being an octopus....

Always lusted for an Aalto Paimio chair, and here it is "gone metal," as you say. Ubiquitous Bauhaus. I am imaging with de stijl sunglasses, and everyone is winning.

Only in analog, right? Thanks for flipping the page to ADOX for me, short-lived though it will be.  Thumping in the back of my head is "make every shot count." Yes, ADOX vs. E100, an unlikely pair, but that is what a little experimental gets you, right? Thanks.

that's right - only analog.  And you know what you need to do to restock up on that Adox 😉

Beautifully done Charles. Since i'm into lighting at the moment, how was it lit?

Thanks Philip. The lighting setup was two flashes, each with a strip softbox and grid, one from the back to light the details and one from the front to light the model.

I really like this shot. I find the deep reds against the harsh rocks mesmerising. I'll be re-visiting it a few more times over the next few days...

In addition, I salute your composure, during such strenuous activity, to pause, compose and take the photograph. Thank you for sharing. That shoebox is evidently a treasure.

Thank you, Suede. I appreciate your comment very much. Probably the red paint triggered the action. The composing took place subliminally .. the Leica did the rest.

in my experience  the most difficult part of taking photos in such a situation is just to  think of it ! Usually your are holding on to dear life by grabbing a rock, finding your balance, trying to stay on your skis and so on. But if one hand is free you might stop to take a photo...
