Rog, this is clearly the spectral analysis of the light of the famous  bauhaus system, 100 bhyears away, filtered through the  galaxies of Thambarius  and finally just  escaping the black holes of the collapsing  fuji-star... ( hopefully not !!!! 😮)   It´s been a long journey and it´s awe-inspiring !

Nice portrait, Dirk. SLX and SFX go together well...

A remote village in the mountains of Armenia; Kodak TriX 400, 2018.

This is not made with a Leica - even though I normally use Leica M3 or MA for film photography - it was taken with a Soviet-made Zenith E with Helios 44-2 58 mm lens (great lens, by the way - if you are not familiar with it).

If you like it, you can find some other film pictures from that trip at ashot.smugmug.com/Armenia

now, that really looks far away.. like a surveillance shot.... interesting though

last one ...... BTW if you are wondering, there is an old Kodak pamphlet about shooting without a lot of light and they have a table ... carry it around, much better than any meter IMHO ..

Steve, just this shot --pars pro toto-- very  nice series with bold colors.   I agree, metering under such circumstances is quite difficult--so  a good table or -- mainly my choice-- incident light metering is much better than the reflective or spot mode...

Great composition and colors. Comes along very  inconspicuous, but on revisiting gets better and better...

Very beautiful Dirk! I really love this portrait. It is so timeless, could also be decades ago. Beautiful light, grain, perfect pose....what do you want more?

If you are ever in the south-west of Germany near the border to France, you should visit Baden-Baden. A very old and elegant town with beautiful old buildings, parks and a breathtakting landscape.

Really admire this portrait of three women, the triangular arrangement of their heads with the counterpoint of the triangle of the house roof, and you let the wall go white. There's conversation here.

I hear you are working on writing that next mega hit sci-fi to compete with Avenger's Endgame. I'm going to get some Ray Bans to knock out the glare of that Green Light. Very creative, you are.

I really love what you do with that lens.  The creaminess of the OOF areas is just sublime.  And smart use of the yellow filter.

Thanks, Klaus.  I will admit that this was a bit of an after thought as the glorious sunrise had already happened.  But I found myself in that lovely setting and after a couple of minutes of standing there, meditating and soaking it all up, I dropped everything, unpacked and re-assembled my gear 😅

Adam, it has just struck me that perhaps you missed your true calling. We often here, on I Like Film, talk about "cinema" or "cinematic" - but I truly think the way you have a penchant to find powerful compositions mixed with great light - maybe there is a great Director of Photography lurking in there somewhere, waiting to be unleashed on Hollywood. Pack your bags?

Ha ha, I truly appreciate that, Phil, especially coming from such a pro like yourself.  Unfortunately, my wife says that my true calling is the one that keeps the food on the table 😂😂
