Moai, easy to guess, on Easter Island or better Isla de Pascua or even better Rapa Nui, near Hanga Roa. I was astonished to learn that what I thought was a red hat  actually is a hair-do.... This statue is a replica to show the Out of the factory condition of moai. Islanders stopped the production of the statues some hundred years before the advent of the first Europeans, so the eyes, made of obsidian and coral are lost on the originals. Moai are always male, sorry to say this. Since there is no retrograde Gender-Correctness, we have to accept this.

Very interesting, Klaus!  Love those buggy eyes :)

This is really amusing, Phil.  I am getting mental hospital for the deranged shopping carts; you, know, those will broken wheels which go left when you want them to go right, and vice versa 😂

It just may find it's way onto a wall soon.  But first - a test print on Fuji Flex, which has been ordered ♥️

This one is because of @christoph_d, who after seeing some of his Adox portfolio when he was recently here in NY got me inspired to bring some Color Implosion with me to Israel and keep it loaded in my Contax T3.

About 8 days ago was "Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day". You can look up the results on the web if you like, but just to wet your appetite, here's my humble contribution.

6x6 pinhole camera, Portra 160

I met up with Charles, and we spent a nice few hours walking through the freezing streets of s'Hertogenbosch. This was my final picture, taken when we were warming up in a cafe.

The day was grey and overcast - I should have taken Ektar to pep things up a bit.

Hello James, I like your NY-feature-quite overwhelming. As to your  "Favorite" -Section-problem: Get over it, if in trouble, ask @benqui how to deal with it😃....

Thank you, Klaus! Your feedback means much to me!

At first glance I thought this to be a silly joke, but thanks to your explanations I know much more about these statues than before. I love the transitions in the blue sky and think that you made perfect use of the square format of your Hasselblad.

Love that James....did you process it yourself or have it done in a shop?

This was developed and scanned by the lab in NYC - In Lightroom I played with the provided jpeg by altering the white balance (-15 toward blue and -3 towards green), corrected the exposure by 1/4 stop and added more contrast (+20). Finally I restored the lights and lifted the shadows by 30 each and gave a -14 on the blacks. This resulted in a slightly lighter and fresher overall appearance of the scene.

Although I like the Ektar version more, this version is also very appealing. I wonder though, where the streaks in the left side of the picture come from? Is this a feature of the film, a certain kind of color change from the sunlight, that is reflected from the clouds or simply some scanning issue?

I have a similiar scene from Chinatown, Antonio :) It has it all: The street vendors, the customers, the umbrellas and even the graffiti. A market is a market is a market...
