Fantastic (anon doubt very meaningful) portrait, Eoin.  And I do not recall you posting this before.

Can't take my eyes away without taking some words on this. I am too attached to landscapes related to mountains. Lovely photo.

Lovely landscape and I am sure this is not handheld. If it were handheld what quality will it lose, I wonder? Beautiful monochromic that deserves to be seen on a big blow up.

Great photo and playing with a negative loaded manual camera to master this effect is not everyone skill. And  against the light and zero tolerance with the daylight and Non-bracketing is a mission impossible for me. Bravo! and you merit it.

Wordless photo Adam. "Adam was here type" this lighting always favors you wonderfully, and the colors as well very dramatic. Well done Adam!

Occasionally we see something very special here. We are all aware (at least I hope we are) that the range of talented photographers here on the "I like film" thread embraces every single one of us who contributes - of that there is no question. But then we see a photograph - a portrait, no less, perhaps the hardest of any genre to get right - that speaks volumes about the relationship of the photographer to the subject and knocks it out of the park. Look at this for long enough and the story is there - the older man speaking, his vast wisdom suggested by the books behind him - the younger man lower, in deference, listening even as he performs his art. To know that these words were among the last given to his son by the father adds an incredible poignancy. A wonderful, wonderful picture Eoin.

This rates a "Wow!" from me, Cyril. I'm not sure of the right words, but there seems something very human and soulful about this image.
