Wonderful pictures Marc.

You take me just away to India and Iran with them.

Same roll as earlier

This would look good on a wall, Philip. There's something about it that I like very much.

Another example from the 35mm converted Fuji GSW690III. I think it shows the capabilities well. Porta 400. I would say that the photo, as shown here, represents about 80% of the quality of the actual scan. I cannot remember ever getting this quality result from the XPan..........Before it, the XPan, died.

In the original scan, at 400%, you can almost read the writing on the little utility marker flag located just to the right of the base of the tree.

Best

Lezlie Harrison, jazz singer at Smoke the other night .... all except for the last was taken with my 80mm R Summilux with a 2X APO extender ... last was with the lens alone ... film is portra 400 .... lights are tough on color film without a cooling filter, reason the last just looks better in black and white.

and the black and white version --

Your latest pictures from Smoke are wonderful, and this black&white conversion is absolutely top notch. You are transporting all the feelings and the mood, so that by looking at the picures a faint melody forms in my head and the singers voice is taking form in my imagination. Perfect!

Personally, i don’t like getting run over by taxis. But apparently some people quite fancy it!

NYC

Portra 400

I'm late to the party but don't want to miss howling with the wolves. That is an amazing picture with its dynamic, the drama, the richness of colors and the perfect composition. I guess it would need a staff of dozens of people to set up a scene like this intentionally. You, with your trained eye and the ever improving skills, managed it in the glimpse of a moment. Hats off!

Two b&w from Avebury - MP, 50mm C-Sonnar f1.5, Acros 100, Rodinal.

Great tone scale and the scenery as well, Keith! I should give the combination Acros + Rodinal a try..
