mikemgb Posted June 6, 2018 Share #50705 Posted June 6, 2018 Did you know that if you accidentally underexpose T-Max 100 by 2 stops you get really impressive shadows? I will admit I like this look but the negatives are very thin, I'm going to experiment with some different films. Canterbury, England, Leica M2, DR Summicron 50. Welcome, dear visitor! A miller Posted June 6, 2018 Share #50706 Posted June 6, 2018 Now that will be fun. I spent around a year mucking about with Qualls' monobath, a homemade mixture of HC-110, Ilford Rapid Fixer and ammonia: Breaking Bad by chrism229, on Flickr I diluted the ammonia to get it to the right specific gravity for the desired concentration, but even then the ammonia was really stinky, and I had to do it with an extractor fan on in the washroom where I develop. I found that agitation is extremely important. The immediate and rapid development that occurred led to streaks from the sprocket holes across the film that formed as the chemical was poured into the tank. The only reliable way I could get round it was to use a Rondinax or Rondix tank so that the streaks would form along the length of the film, in the sprocket border where they didn't matter. All my monobath photos are in a Flickr album. I hope you have lots of fun, and that your successes will lead you to try all sorts of processes! Thanks for the encouragement, Chris! philipus Posted June 6, 2018 Share #50718 Posted June 6, 2018 Some more flower (and ant) photography. It's interesting how Fuji Pro 160S renders sometimes pastel-like and pale and sometimes more punchy. Both with the 80 Planar and 16+32 tubes.
