ISO 100, and developed for 5 minutes in 1+49 HC-110 at 20ºC, with continuous agitation in the motorised Rondinax.

Thanks Chris

If I do not have a way to do continuous agitation what method would you recommend,ie: time and agitation regime

Thanks

Try looking here. A great range of alternatives.

I was thinking Jurassic Park meets Transformers, but you're right. Godzilla is so retro and mechanical. Now, Phil will flesh it out with a Melville Moby Dick scenario.

Nah I didn't happen to see a great white whale cruising by at that moment (hmm, maybe I could photoshop one in). I'm chuffed about the Godzilla and Jurassic Park analogies though. And thank you Steve - your comment that "I like it because it clearly states 'this was shot using film, and I'm proud to announce it" actually makes me like this picture a lot more than I did - for precisely the reason stated.

In the spirit of Steve's excellent suggestion to post light leaks, end-of-roll and other messed-up pictures, I'm including a picture I messed uyp the development. I think what I did was to put XTOL AND Rodinal in the tank rather than one or the other. My agitation sequence wasn't too flash either:

Phil - If you hadn't said anything I would have never noticed. I love the photo. The seemingly little and defenseless man, contemplating, and the giant 'man-created monster' towering over him. Very cool!

Love this Wayne - those sunflowers (while we're looking for analogies) look like Triffids!

How are you finding using the caffenol? It looks to have sumptuous tones from this example.

Nice. Home made Caffenol?

Thanks. Yes, it was home made. This time I used a scale. In past I tried volumetric measurements, with less pleasant results.

It was difficult finding solid information on developers to use with microfilm. On a caffenol site I found, not only a recipe and times, but also examples.

I've done it in Paterson and Nikor tanks by agitating for the first 30 seconds, followed by ten seconds once a minute. You'll get away with the same times, but this method prefers times a little longer, say 10-20% extra.

I'm really pleased with Agfa Vista 200, but with supply being somewhat challenging I began searching for options. It is claimed that Agfa Visto 200 is the same as Fuji C200, and from what I've seen on the net the results can look rather similar, but it has to be recognised that post processing can modify the outcome.
