I like film...(open thread)

Happy Friday to everyone.

Here's one from last Thursday evening in New York.

There was huge crowd of photographers at this location but all of them were far to my right, in the wrong place in my opinion and dead center is the best way to compose this scene.

Will continue my pursuit of a better photo but this one - still in draft form - seems promising.

Brooklyn Piers

Linhof Technika Press 23, 53 Zeiss Biogon, Ektar 6X9

Wonderful.

In January I bought a 1955 M3 DS online from a guy in Italy and the price was very very very good because the finder was opaque. I checked online for possible repairs and then I bought it. When I got it, I saw that the finder was not only opaque, but in terrible conditions, like dead. I sent the camera to a lab in the UK for CLA and repair and after 3 months I got it back with a clean and re-cemented finder. It looks like they did a good job. At the end I think I have spent as much as an M3 with a working finder at the lower boundary of the online price range, but at least it is a camera that went through a CLA (not sure if my English makes sense). Anyway, I like to think it was a good deal overall.
I cannot compare the repaired finder to another M3. It has a subtle brownish tint and maybe it was not possible to recover it 100%.
Anyway, earlier today I developed and scanned the first roll. Tomorrow it's labour day and I'll try to finish exposing the second.

Here's a pic from the roll.

I've never used Diafine. So basically, given some exceptions, you use it 3+3 regardless of the temp and of the film?

BTW the internet ran out of Svema 32 ... (for now)

I buy it every time I see it. The Ukranians appreciate the support. :)

Yes, for those films that react well, the standard process is 3 minutes for solution A, and 3 minutes for solution B

I have been floored by how well this old film performed in this particular instance:

The TIFF is as sharp as a tack......Summicron DR sharp. :)

Same camera, film, and process

Very nice. I'm surprised the film does not show any anomalies. The Svema 64 I have tried looks cool, but not clean at all.

I'll keep looking online for some 32.

Fantastic!  Looks like a joy to use!  The polaroid back is also very fun to use - do you have one?
