Leica M6, CV 12/5.6, Ilford PanF+ 50 film developed with Rodinal (1:50)

Beautiful - strong lines and pleasant tonality! The corners could have been technically stronger, ideally, but 12mm is 12mm...

Yes - I took it handheld wider open to accommodate ISO 50 (couldn't push it because the rest of the film was taken all at ISO 50, too). f/11 would have been the better choice here to improve the corners. But hey, I made the best of the situation at the time I think ;)

I most certainly will. I know you have a lock on all of the espresso joints in town :)

That would be a very accurate assessment :)

I don't get over to the LUF often enough, so it took awhile to get through all the new images. Lots of good stuff being posted!! Well done everyone!

I've been struggling with whether or not I would stick with film or sell the M7 to fund an M240. The main issues for me were the cost, travel time going to/from the lab, and my impatience with waiting to see what I got. I've solved all of those issues by deciding to home-process my film! (B/W) Now instead of leaving the M7 home because I don't have time to get the films processed, I can have negatives hanging 20 minutes after I return. So liberating! And fun!

Here are a few. All M7 + VM Nokton 50/1.5 + Ilford Delta 400 processed using the new FF No.1 "Monobath". This was a big part of my decision, since it's ONE solution to deal with. I like things simple, and the results are great. Really loving the look of Delta 400. I have never used that film before. Shooting B/W also makes film more relevant for me because the look is much different from what I would get with digital, even with plugins.

Good to see, and glad you've settled on a direction to take. I won't lecture you on film vs digital, there are enough that will, plus I use and enjoy both.

It's good to see you trying your hand at processing, and the results are excellent.

To me the processing is part of the fun, and even after many many years of printing, I still get a buzz from seeing a print emerge in the developer.

I shot some HP5 @ 1600 because I had to walk in some narrow streets and the shades were pretty strong. And because of that, I shot at 1600 also under the sun.

Here's a shot from the countryside between Bologna and Ferrara in northern Italy.

Adam how is it that you consistently best yourself with the blizzard series?

Seriously, do you find you've gotten into a "stride" and are just more proficient at it? And/or are you now just so comfortable with it that the photos find you? Your story - the one about your mental preparation and expectations when you venture out into the freezing cold that everyone else is trying their darnedest to avoid - will make a fascinating introduction to the book when it appears. However I get the feeling you're having far too much fun with these to draw the line and say "enough!" so we may have to wait quite a while for that book!
