Steve Ricoh Posted February 7, 2018 Share #47024 Posted February 7, 2018 Very interesting statements of Mirko not only limited to that particular one. Thanks for sharing Phil If what he says about the two key players in colour film is true, it doesn't bode well.

mikemgb Posted February 7, 2018 Share #47030 Posted February 7, 2018 Shadow Play One of my first pictures with my new Thambar (stopped down, no filter), M6, Portra 400. Thambar, M6.jpg M6, Thambar (wide open,) Portra 400 Thambar, M6.jpg M6, 28mm Summaron, Portra 400 Horse.jpg Now I see what the Thambar is for, the promotional shots, all taken on digital, looked truly awful. These, taken on film, look wonderful!

Wonzo Posted February 7, 2018 Share #47032 Posted February 7, 2018 Now I see what the Thambar is for, the promotional shots, all taken on digital, looked truly awful. These, taken on film, look wonderful! Thank you, Mike ! Have a look at the Thread "Thambar Crazy", you`ll find some pictures on digital, which you might also like. Lately I have also issued a few there. The Thambar is definitely easier to handle with a digital camera, especially, when you can use an EVF. Then you get what you see. This is not the case with any analog M. Otherwise it seems to me, the longer I use the Thambar and the more I get familiar with it, the easier it will get to handle it properly with my M6. This is what I like to achieve. I also like the results on film very much ! Best, Wonzo
