I neglected to say that I like the results with the Portra.  This is my general workflow when shooting people in order to ge some extra speed.  I probably wouldn't have thought of it for this scenery but the slightly less saturated colors from the push complimented the mood quite nicely.  I am eager to develop the Fuji Natura 1600 but I have tot finish the roll first!

I was hoping for an impressionistic look, especially once we were there and saw the faded building colors in the background. It worked, better luck than smart (had no idea how overexposing pushed Portra would turn out. I think no matter what you do it always needs light  Cant wait to see the 1600

...In the "can's worms" ** that someone here qualified my post on the size of the Tiff versus DNG...

...** I was very shocked and saddened this lack of consideration towards me , that I consider as an insult

I gather the expression must be "can of worms", and was puzzled that in the post above you thought you were insulted. I did a search for "can or worms" and for "worms" to find the post that you found offensive and couldn't find it: either it was deleted or my search skills are not up to the task.

In any case, "can of forms" is an idiomatic expression in English that cannot be translated literally into French. The fuller expression is to  "open a can of worms", which means a situation that causes a lot of problems when you start to deal with it. In French you could say, "donner un coup de pied dans une fourmilière."

So, whoever used the expression could not have meant an insult. In my search, I came across the following post from 2015 using this expression; it certainly is not an insult:

Apologies for opening up that can of worms but I do think it looks better without the vignette. Silbury Hill is reputedly the largest man made hill in western Europe, I think it catches the eye without any extra help.  :D

Mike, the critical thing with the scanner is to set your BP & WP as wide as possible, prior to scanning. That usually just involves setting the white point, ensuring there is NO clipping. That is a trick in itself, but not difficult.

Erl, could you please explain a little bit more detailed your workflow regarding the setting of black&white points? Thanks in advance

Hi Michael, thank you. Well, the two magazines I have, one old A-12 and an E-12, both allow tripping the shutter before they've been wound ten times.

Hello Phillip,

Nice photo.

Aren't Hasselblad magazines supposed to have an interlock system so that what you were worried about could not happen?

Best Regards,

Michael

This looks great Antonio, and it seems to me that HC-110 is a good developer for this film. I've always liked the slightly crystalline structure of grain when it comes out of an HC-110 bath.

I finally developed my first bulk loaded roll of Fomapan 400 Action. First time I use this film in general.

Not bad, I have to say. The film looks grainy to me, more than Tri-X and HP5, particularly when used with an orange filter.

I'm surprised I didn't mess up the bulk loading ... Here's a shot of an old Fiat 500 at the waterfront of Brindisi.

Hi Henry, yes it's Ektar.

Philip a great picture , in MF it highlights more the perpective effect

I think its' Ektar or Portra 160 ?

Thanks Adam, yes I agree, that's a very good idea.

Philip - This happens to me all the time.  Hasselblad have left some goofs to be made with their system!  Very interesting POV in this shot.  You might consider lifting the exposure at least a half of a stop.

Haha yes it must be touch. Very nice juxtaposition of all the colours and signs.

I watched Corbijn's Life the other day and there's a shot or two from Dean's family farm in Indiana that looks a bit like this.
