Great stuff, I really like the pigeon gathering.

It's been awhile since I've had the time to get out and shoot some film, but I finally put a couple of rolls through the M7 this past week.

M7 + Nokton 50/1.5 + Provia 100. "Scanned" with an A7ii + Tamron SP 90mm Macro and lightbox.

That brings back memories, I took a ferry from Brindisi to Corfu in 1987 as part of a European tour in a 1974 MGB. Let me see if I can find some photographs from that trip.

Erl, could you please explain a little bit more detailed your workflow regarding the setting of black&white points? Thanks in advance

Tmx, sorry about delayed response. I have had commitments to deal with.

Re scanning technique.

This will vary depending on your scanner (sort of) and the scanning software you use.

I have several Nikon scanners and an Epson scanner, all using VueScan, so the workflow is always the same.

1. Load your  (B&W) film and select the frame you want.

2.  Under the Color Tab, select a film etc, not important.

3. On the same tab, choose B/W Type: There will be a value entered, eg; .5.

Make sure that under 'Prefs'tab that graph type B/W is selected.

4. Now vary the value (point 3 above) to move the Linear graph RH point (Black Point) as far right as possible without clipping.

This should now give a scan with the best possible amout of information possible. Most of the time , when examined in PS it will display as a very flat image.

Now is when you re-set the BP ans WP on thegraph in PS to suit your taste in detail, contrast, etc.

A little practice will give you an enormous lift. :D

Nice. Brindisi used to be the main port for traveling to Greece. It’s different now: most of the ferries were moved to Bari and the marina has been completely remodeled in the last years.

I visited Greece in 91 with my school and I had a Zenit 12XP. I still have that camera.

PS Appia was the name of the old Roman road connecting Rome to Brindisi and I brought with

Another shot from the Tri-X roll developed in D76 that came out grainier than usual, perhaps accentuated by shooting into bright light. This is a bride and groom who have come from China to Chiang Mai with a photographer and assistant. The third couple doing this that I have seen in the last year. The assistant told me that she comes here with couples on honeymoons 3-4 times a year. The site is the small coffee shop of the "hand darkroom", where they generally do a good job on film They also have a darkroom for rent.

I like the colours in this film image. Thought the film was Ektar but my records (and the negs) indicate Porta.

Hoping to go out with my first roll of Cinestill 50 today.

Nice, the expression on the face, the posture, even the colours all go well together. Your son?

Thank you.

Yes, my son. Age five at the time. A rare moment of stillness.... His favourite game? As soon as I point a camera in his general direction, he's off like a flash.

Really like these, Antonio. The b/w adds dramatic feel to such mundane subject.
