It was great to meet up with Adam while he was briefly in London.  We had a nice couple of pints, a very pleasant chat, and met a film and tv star, Christopher Fairbanks (British members will remember him as the character Moxey from the very popular 1980's tv series "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet").  It would have been nice to go out shooting but it wasn't really the night for it.  Maybe next time.

Pete.

Thanks, Christoph.  It's that time of the year again  :P

Adam,

Very cool. :) The force of the storm well captured!

Thanks, Phil.   I forgot to provide an update regarding my film situation.  The roll that was stuck in my camera came back in perfect condition except suffered from a F$$king LIGHT LEAK    Surely the fault of either the lab owner who thought he could be superman or the technician.  My guess is that it was the lab owner b/c when he returned from his darkroom and told me he opened it but couldn't get it out he began to act very odd towards me; a little too patronizing if you know what I mean.  In any case, I really didn't lose any keepers out of it.  It shows up on a couple but actually adds an acceptable dimension :)  I don't believe this photo is from the second roll but rather was from my first roll.

Any way you look at it this is an amazing picture. That Ektar diet seems to be agreeing with you! Was this from the roll of Portra rescued from your camera?

Thanks, Henry!

Superb Adam amazing picture

Thanks, Suede.  Yes I used a flash. :)

It's a very dramatic photo, Adam. Flash ?  ...or was it light from an auto that chanced by ?

28mm ?

Wow, what a scene!!  Very old school! :)  Great colors, though!

Pere - you were a gracious host and pub partner this week.  I had a great time (although I really wish you hadn't (i) pulled out your gorgeous M3/50 RIGID combo and (ii) then nonchalantly told me how much you paid for it!! :o )  and hopefully will be able to meet up with you again.  And thanks for plugging the name of the British actor that we met.  My film has just a minute ago been delivered and I will be sharing our moment together with him soon - now I have a point of reference!

One for Adam following a recent conversation.

Milford Sound in the deep south of New Zealand, Fiordland.  It's a gorgeous place but if you don't take and liberally use military grade insect repellant the sandflies (small, stinging black fly) will eat you alive all year round.  It's a very wild place and nature wins here quite often.

Becker , each time I look at your pictures I say to myself : how can he takes these pictures

are you lucky or must you wait , be patient .... but all your pictures IMO have a lot of merit

because it's very difficult ,  always at the right time at the "decisive moment" in the manner

of Henri Cartier Bresson

A great work !
