Mike - I have to admit that I wasn't familiar with Mr. Fairbanks, although I probably was not remembering correctly b/c he was in the first Batman movie.  In any case, he was very kind, fun and cooperative.

Yes the Colour Implosion adds a certain 'something' but I think it's pretty okay considering. ^_^  Thanks for posting this.

How did the one of the three of us taken by Christopher's sidekick come out, Adam?

Pete.

Had a few rolls i finally got to scanning. I've been working at getting better shooting moving subjects with the rangefinder and happy with my results from a recent bike race. These were shot on Portra 160 with the 90mm Summicron-M. Scanned with Epson v600.

Shooting CX with a rangefinder... good going! It's never worked out for me, I've always gone back to the mirrorless with M adaptor.

Good shots too. Such a visually interesting form of cycling.

Wonderful color Pete

Yes Velvia's colours are certainly intense.

I'm disappointed by the resolution that pictures posted here are (understandably) restricted to because when I look at the 6x7 transparency through a loupe on my lightbox I can see each leaf separately in fine detail but the jpg and forum algorithms mush them together and the breathtaking clarity of medium format film photography is sadly lost.  Still, better that than nothing, eh?

Pete.

Pete , color of film is unique MF as 135mm and the definition or resolution is far away the best

of digital MF (like H1D) or 135 (like M) and in addition color is faithful .

Why ? the reason is only 25% of light touch red and blue square pixels and  50% of light touch

green pixels on MONOlayer sensor and through Bayer Filter ...  Film 100% of light

or color needs light

Someone who always makes comparison digital and film
