Well, look who's a first class food photog!!  Nice, James!

:) It was just a test shot, but I liked the result, too :)

I would say that your (previous) picture of the inside of the dome of St Paul's is perfectly judged with the 50mm. Of course you could have got everything in with a shorter focal length, but then it would have been a pretty ordinary record shot - albeit a tricky one to achieve as I don't expect the vergers would appreciate members of the public lying dead centre at the base of the dome (unless they were dead, I suppose...)

And the above external shot with the cross at the apex is beautifully vignetted by foliage.

Less is so often more in an age where everyone has access to picture making devices.

Thank you very much for your detailed comment, it is much appreciated! It was indeed not that easy to take photographs within this cathedral, as there are many guards around and photography is not welcome there. But with the camera lying inconspicuously on my lap I risked an exposure. Here is another one, shot from the hip:

The art of the blur is alive and well in the house of philipus! Love these pastels and the painterly rendition.

wow, Marc.  So much emotion!  And you doing it so well with film.  I really think you should throw away your digital cameras and devote yourself exclusively to your true calling.

Thanx a lot Adam, I really appreciate it! I have to admit that at the moment I prefer my portraits especially b/w portraits with film. I don't know why, but there is much more emotion in these photos, not so clean, not so sterile. My SL really is really running to fat 😉

I have been busy at work this evening installing a 3-panel 96"x32" tripych metal print of one of my recent 6x17 photographs from the Manhattan Bridge at the NYC flagship Lululemon Athletica "athleisure" store on 64th street and Broadway (right across the street from Lincoln Center).

Some of you may recall that I have partnered with Lululemon to show my photographs for sale at a few of their stores.  The photo that I initially installed in this store - a 48"x32" metal of print of Central Park - fortunately sold within a month of going up.  🤑  So I got an opportunity to throw up one of my recent 6x17 panos on their massive wall.

Thanks to all of you who have been so generous with your time (and patience) on this thread!

Long live film!!!

-Adam

The more I shoot and see Tmax3200 the more impressed I get. Just finished a roll using a yellow/green filter but the next roll I will shoot at 800. Someone showed some shots on instagram and they look great. This one, at 1600, is great too (helps to have a beautiful woman with an expressive look and great shadows), well done!!!!

This might just up the ante yet again. I am receiving a Matisse/Magritte vibe from the interior/exterior view and those wonderful pastelly 50s colours. Superb - and another giant leap forward.
