During my time in Jerusalem last summer, I took my SWC and Ektar down into the tunnels underneath the Western Wall (Kotel) plaza, where archeologists have uncovered (since only the past 60 years) portions of the area around the Jewish Temple from 2000 years ago.  From, giant mammoth stones perfectly laid by Romans, to aqueducts, to bridges to portions of streets and quarries, there is so much history down in these tunnels and it is all so well preserved.   In order to be allowed in the tunnels you must reserve a spot on a tour.  I did so but then quickly got myself lost so that I could deal with the very long exposures of the shots with Ektar.

While down there one can't help but feel a little like Indiana Jones 😂

Here one from the tunnels.

Adam (or is it "Indy" now?) - this is stunning. Especially so given that you had limited time and resource at your disposal. Those stones seem like they would like to tell their story.

Agree with Phil, wonderful shot. How did you meter though, same old spot meter and add a bit, or what? It would have been difficult to say the least.

Many thanks, Phil and Gary.  Oh yes, once you are down there you really feel like you've gone back 2000 years.  There's lots to imagine and feel from the past.

Gary - As you will probably guess, I used a spot meter (not mine, b/c I had lost mine by then but an IsraeliFacebook "friend's" who lent me his - a Sekonic 1 degree spot - technologically more advanced but no where near as user friendly as my Minolta Spotmeter, which I have since replaced) and essentially first metered for the highlights around the bright areas from the tungsten light and then adjusted so that those values were between zones 7-9 in a way that the stones on the walls more int he foreground were not too dark (zones 2-3), recognizing that I could blow the highlights a little and still retain good value in order to grab reasonable detail in the stones in the foreground.

Any Ektachrome E100 shots, anyone? All I've seen so far are pictures of the film and/or the packaging.

Just two days ago I asked for Ektachrome in one of the largest stores in Berlin, but they are awaiting delivery, too. Meanwhile I shoot different stock, as this Portra:

Just came across this one from a while back (before #metoo 😎), during a summer morning walk with Stuart (Stuny) before work.  I was testing the limits of my Portra 400, pushing it 3 stops.
