I keep trying and trying them but always come back to my Leica

This is a point I made in a PM. My G1, when focus is correct, is capable of producing very good photographs. I am not competent to judge, but I have read Planar 45/2 is a lens of legendary reputation. However, correct focus with G1 is not a given. In fact, it focuses poorly often enough that I would never rely on it for important photographs. It is also a very loud camera. :)
