I'm forced to go for work at least once every two years and just hate it.  I'm not a prude but it's just not me.  Your photo illustrates how "in your face" the city can be.

I was there for WPPI. I’m no prude either, not by a long chalk, but I actually felt tainted by the place! :D

A pro photographer and his all-in-one studio. Kodak transparency ASA 100 ( can't find more info).

That's the last of a series of colour film photographs from the past I decided they should be posted here. They were taken either with the Summicron-R 50mm or with the Vario-Elmarit-R 28-90mm ASPH (which, sadly, I don't own anymore); all with my R7.

In those days (late 90s), it was easy to find professional photo labs for the transparencies. The only problem was to be able to convince them to treat your films like they did with the pro's films. Then came a period when the labs would not process slide film, since practically all pro photographers turned digital, and I stopped using transparencies. Pity!

Horrible photography, excuse me!

Is it the colours that you don't like? Otherwise I don't see anything 'horrible' and it seems those kind of deeply coloured landscapes are a matter of taste. They are very popular going by Flickr's Explore page, and the number of 'likes' given here to Adam's photo suggests there is an audience for them here too. Personally, I prefer the real to the surreal, but I'm not going to discourage Adam from doing what he likes. After all, people put up with my rubbish!

Hi Chris - I appreciate your thoughtful (and sober) remarks. Different courses for different horses, for sure. I am happy to leave it at that!

This is rubbish, Chris. Please post more :)

The scallop draggers that go out to Georges Bank are much larger than our Cape Islander style lobster boats.

Thanks Philip.

I'm out of Vista 200, but I'm informed it's similar if not identical to Fuji C200, so I may buy a few rolls to experiment.

Incidentally, the flag shot was simply taken in a playful sort of way, I was simply exploring the perspective compression of the 135mm and I'm liking somewhat the effect and the different way of seeing.
