Traveling with kids can be quite difficult. Add the pandemic and all the extra checkin time followed by a strike in Paris Charles de Gaulle, and it becomes an amazing photos opportunity providing one can still lift the camera 😅

After a couple years of delay, and of hassling members using the camera, I took the dive on a HB SWC (1956 model.) Of course, I had to go with the oldest version I could find. Shutter must be manually set, and is quite quiet in actuation..........prompting a need to do a shutter function check on my second frame. Camera was set at F22 and infinity at time of unitentional selfie. A real testimony to the DOF associated with the Biogon. I can see right away, this is going to be fun.

Venus & the Waterwall (@ the NGV)

Hasselblad 203FE + 60mm Distagon shooting Portra 400, proc. in Tetenal.

My aim was to reproduce the shiny gold sculpture to look 'wet' as though it had passed through the Waterwall.

Another Rollei 35 LED picture. Here with the aperture more closed. Sharpness increases, but still does not extend into the corners.

A landscape near Nuenen in the Netherlands, where the young Vincent van Gogh once roamed and sketched.

Squirrel fight

OM-2n, 85-250mm, Superia 400

Odd thing is, they eventually shared the feeder, which is very unusual. Maybe they are old nestmates, or are exhibiting that tolerance for other squirrels that comes as the winter progresses, which allows them to share a nest and keep a bit warmer than sleeping alone. When I finish the Superia 400 in the Pen-FV there will be photos!

Welcome to the Club, Wayne ! Of the many cameras I had and have, the SW perhaps is the one I've lost my heart to. If that's possible with a machine...

So, if your camera is from 1956, you have a "Super Wide " which was made from 1954 to 1957... The coupling of the film advance and the shutter cocking was only introduced with the SWC in 1959.... the lens formula alas remained unchanged until 2001, when lead and arsenic was omitted. If that helped the lens more than the environment is disputable... And in 1972 the multicoating was added. T* ....

What you have is a real low production camera... probably only a few hundred being made-and of those  remaining  you've got one !

I'm excited and look forward to see results ! Perhaps you can train Zoe how to make a selfie with her paw !!😁

K.

SWC 905. Just shy of 40 years later than your SW...
