Popular Post chrism Posted November 28, 2021 Popular Post Share #78565 Posted November 28, 2021 Well that was mildly interesting. Shingles is painful, so I wasn't sure about doing the shoot I planned. I managed to screw up the roll of 120 film as it went into the Rondinax 60 (I swear: they were the best photos ever taken!) But the Pen-FV, despite the peculiar intermittent flash connection that meant it set off the strobe about every two seconds and even sometimes when it was asked to do so, manged by chance alone to make two images that reminded me of Peter Paul Rubens' satyr. That's an image that was on bottles of relatively cheap yet relatively respectable Austrian wine in the UK in the 1970's. Probably absolutely loaded with ethylene glycol and tasting all the better for it. So this was Rubens (who wasn't much good with a camera, but knew his way round a paintbrush): Welcome, dear visitor! One of the best portraits I have ever seen here in the LFI! I like his direct eye contact. Sparkassenkunde Posted November 28, 2021 Share #78572 Posted November 28, 2021 Here a picture of my Rolleicord (made with a digital camera - sorry). I ordered some new fancy leather for it - I think the camera deserves new clothes, even if it will live a shelf life rather than being an everyday photographers tool... Welcome, dear visitor! Sparkassenkunde Posted November 28, 2021 Share #78573 Posted November 28, 2021 Another picture from today's walk. I still have to figure out where this light leak came from. I will try to seal the camera with some wool thread at two points of the back door and see if this is enough. Another thing a explored was the fact that it is not necessary to check through the red window at the bottom after every winding - this way I only got eight shots out of 12 as the numbers didn't match the frame counter... This was in the first days of the invasion by Russia, and I am sure he went back and was throwing grenades from hillsides along with his people. They must be respected for their determination. Thanks Wayne. 1 hour ago, benqui said: 13 hours ago, romquest said: An Afghan leader at the UN during the Russian invasion. Scary dude. Tx@400 M4P 90/2. Welcome, dear visitor! Let the viewer experience the presence of the subject themselves. I found the Afghan people I met very direct and unshakeable, even the children. Thanks Benqui!
